After The Rain is an oil and cold wax painting with subtle texure, on a 60x60x2.5cm wooden cradle panel (painted with black oil paint round the edges), ready to hang. It can of course be framed at a later date if you wish, but my paintings have a very contemporary look and look just as good without a frame. To me this painting is reminiscent of a bluebell laced woodland scene, on a Spring morning, just after a gentle rain shower, but then I want it to be open to the viewer’s own interpretation too, so won’t explain my thoughts in too much detail. There is a strong focus on colour and contrast.
